MEGHAN MEDLIN  has been a leader in the workforce development and reentry community for over 14 years which led to her branching out in 2019 and starting her own consulting business Medlin Workforce & Reentry Solutions LLC. Through her company, Medlin assists nonprofit organizations and county agencies with program development, training, strategic planning, and sustainability, she also continues to work directly with disenfranchised workers to get them placed into quality employment.

 

Medlin founded H.I.R.E. in 2020 in response to the need for service linkages and employment in Orange County for returning citizens. Medlin’s work in nonprofit extends over workforce development for at promise young adults and running Orange County’s reentry partnership for a number of years. She is known for her dedication to the Orange County community, specializing in recidivism reduction, workforce development, and poverty and homelessness eradication. She has been an integral part of various initiatives such as Prop 47, AB109, Stepping Up, Ban the Box, and the Continuum of Care. She currently represents the community on the Orange County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, was a member of the Board of State and Community Correction’s Executive Steering Committee for the Youth Reinvestment Grant and is a Peer Reviewer for the US Department of Justice, Office of Justice Program’s Bureau of Justice Assistance. Meghan is also an active member of the FBI Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association and InfraGard Los Angeles. She has a BS in Chemistry from the University of Redlands, a certificate in Gang Prevention and Intervention from Coastline Community College and a Master of Advance Study in Criminology, Law & Society from UC Irvine.
