About Us
Our Story
The Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (H.I.R.E.) was founded in 2020 by Meghan Medlin at the peak of the pandemic in response to the early release of thousands of people from incarceration, many with limited means of support.

H.I.R.E. is the only organization in Orange County that operates to coordinate the individual needs of clients and reduce barriers to employment, which can be wide-ranging, as they reenter their communities. With an extensive network of service providers, employers, and government agencies, H.I.R.E. functions as a collaborative and serves as a focal point for providing both direct services, as well as a hub for other organizations. Additionally, H.I.R.E. is the only organization in the county that provides services with no age or conviction restrictions. These clients typically have the most difficulties in finding and obtaining employment or accessing services.

We are currently in the midst of a major expansion project, and will be opening the county's first Reentry Workforce Training Facility in Fall of 2027. In partnership with OC Cares and the County of Orange, this innovative facility will including on site training/services, bridge housing and public facing retail facilities. Please join us as we embark on this journey to connect everyone in need with a quality job!
