Founded in 2020 by Meghan Medlin, H.I.R.E. serves as the Hub for Integration, Reentry and Employment in Orange County California.

Did You Know?
California has one of the highest recidivism rates in the nation. Within 3 years of release, 60-65% are incarcerated again.
Formerly incarcerated people are unemployed more than five times the rate of the general population
Orange County has the second highest jail population in the state with approximately 55,000 arrests booked into jail each year. We also rank in the top 10 jail populations nationwide.
Our national economy loses $78-87 Billion in annual GDP when people with records can't work.
Accessing necessary resources and obtaining employment above minimum wage contributes to lower recidivism rates.
